I Was Born at Yeovil Hospital in Somerset on 3rd October 1971.  I am the first child of Alan Cyril Shepherd of Glastonbury, Somerset and Beryl Anne Shepherd (nee Laws) of Hayes, Middlesex.

Our first child, Ethan Joseph Jack Shepherd, was born on 26th May 2000. He weighed in at a healthy 7lb 12oz and is now about 10 weeks old. He is a beauty.

I have 1 sister, Donna, who was born on 3rd April 1975.  She is due to marry Stuart next April.

I grew up in a small village in Somerset called Somerton until I was seven years old.   In 1978 my Mother and Father bought an old grocers shop in Glastonbury, Somerset and opened a Unisex Hairdressers.  The hairdressers has been going now for 20 years and is a very successful small business.

I went to school at St Benedicts Primary and St Dunstans Secondary, and left school with 8 GCSE grades A-C.

I went straight from school into industry, and got an Software Engineering Apprenticeship at Thorn EMI Electronics, Wells, Somerset.  This has subsequently been taken over by Racal Defence Electronics Ltd for which I am a Project Manager on a number of defence contracts.  I have worked their now for 11 years. Looks like we are about to be taken over by Thomson CSF - dont mind as long as i get my Share option and i dont lose my job!

I spent my late teen/early twenties in a drunken haze with my mates (see Friends Page), until I met my wife to be, Lucy.  She has seen me back onto the straight and narrow.

Lucy and initially met at Jims 21st Birthday Party at the Fenny Castle Hotel Nr Glastonbury.  I had been on a Leo Sayer (All Day'er) and was completely out of my mind.  I recall trying to tell her this line from Waynes World (classic movie of the time) "You're a fox, in France you would be called Le Reynard, and would be hunted with only your cunning to protect you."  It came out "Yourrrre a foxx, in fredccvxcbvvnnbnb........"  I didnt see her for 2 months after that.  My sister actually set us up together in the end and its been plain sailing ever since........NOT!!!

We were married at the Holy Trinity Church, Street, Somerset on 8th August 1998.  It was a fantastic day.  Our Honeymoon was a cruise around the mediterranean followed by a week in the sun.

I seem to spend half my life on a diet, I seem to go from 13st to 12st to 14st to 13st to 15st to 14st.  (I'm under 14st at the moment) Jim and I are currently going to Weightwatchers at the moment. I have lost 1.5 stones, Jim has lost a stone.

My main hobby is Bowls (yes the old mans game, and not the trendy ten pin type) I play for Victoria Club at Street.  I play with a bunch of old muckers called Kevin 'Bumble', Duncan 'Skippy', Lee 'Forrest Gump' and Robert 'Bushy Bob'.  There are a number of others I can mention, but I cant be bothered.
